How do I enroll ?
To enrol just go to to our APPLY page and fill up the form, we will contact you and let you know in short term if you can be one of the participants.
How old do I have to be to enter?
The courses are from 18 years and up.
What is the criteria for being selected ?
We require a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 12 students on all our courses. To guarantee you the best experience in terms of level, proficiency and musical interests, we need some information about you and your background in electronic music production.
How much does it cost ?
The full week in Berlin, costs 1699 €
It includes morning classes with Certified Trainers, afternoon activities,studio visits, guest lectures and workshops, accommodation, breakfast, launch and welcome dinner, Airport pickup, final party.
Do I Need My Own Hardware?
No, you’ll be given a fully setup hardware station during the classes. All you need is your laptop and headphones, so you can practice what you’ve learned.
The EMP Labs are equipped with many Controllers, effects, synths like Ableton Push, NI Machine, Korg MS20, Korg Volca Keys, Bass and Drums, Doepfer Dark Energy ad Dark Time, Rolannd TR-8 and TB-3, NordLead 3x, Arturia MicroBrute and many others … The 16 work stations have each one Ableton Live, Native Instruments Komplete, Novation Launchkey 49, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. A full acoustic drum Kit, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar and Fender amplifier are also available and a full Dj station with A&H Xone 92, Pioneers CDjs and Traktor controllers.
Can I Bring A Friend or Girlfriend?
Sure you can, but they’ll need to pay their own way (flights, accommodation and courses). Note, all the beds are double, you can share it with you girlfriend.
Can I Bring My Entourage?
Of course, as long as they pay for it themselves. We also can’t guarantee them entry to the club.
Do I Need to Perform Using Ableton Live?
Because you will be performing the music you’ve created during your Ableton Live music production course, it would certainly make sense to perform using Ableton Live but if you want you can also use different software.
Will I be picked up at the airport?
Yes you will be picked up at the airport. Please make sure you let us know your flight number, arrival date and time.

Before arrival you will be provided with a list of all the places and addresses and how to get around, our staff will be giving you plenty of info and help you with all the logistics.
What does the schedule look like?
A typical day would look like:
– 8:30: wake up and breakfast at the Loft
– 9:30: head to dBs for classes
– 10:00-14:00: class at dBs EMP lab
– 14:00-15:00: Lunch Break
– 15:00-20:00: afternoon activity (studio visits/guest lectures/ workshops at different locations)
– After 20:00: You will have free time until the morning after. Work on music in the loft, hang out or go out. The night is yours.
Can I book my own accommodation and still join the classes?
Please remember that an important point of the course is for all the producers to be together, collaborate and learn from each other. The Loft space is not just where you will sleep, but the place where to connect with all the others, make music together and attend some of the guest lectures, would be quite inconvenient for you to not sleep there.
With that in mind, yes you can and yes we would alter the price accordingly.
